Thisnthat: Great Dixter Friends Evening

When it comes to visiting Great Dixter I always feel like an eight-year-old waking up to the first day of school holidays. Long may that feeling continue.

Saturday evening was my first trip back since last October, this time as part of an annual Friends evening.

If you want to support the Trust and the work that they do in pushing the boundaries of what the garden can achieve and in the education of our future horticulturalists, then becoming a friend is one way you can do this. And as a bonus you get to come along to evenings like that on Saturday, eat good food, chat to lovely people, enjoy a tour around the garden with Fergus (this time across meadows and through the estate woodland) and of course walk around the garden itself late into a summer’s evening.

I’ll stop wittering now and let some photos do the talking.

An astounding place.
